Position Title: Lecturer / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance

Job Description
The Department of Accounting and Finance at Neapolis University Pafos invites applications for
two full-time academic positions at one of the following ranks
- Lecturer / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Accounting
- Lecturer / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Finance
Successful candidates are expected to maintain an active research profile, with publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed academic journals appropriate to their career stage, while delivering high-quality teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The Department places particular emphasis on student-centered learning, supported by relatively small class sizes that encourage meaningful interaction between faculty and students and foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
About the Department of Accounting and Finance
The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of the academic departments within the School of Economics, Business Administration and Computer Science. It is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and engagement with the professional community, offering programmes that combine academic rigor with professional relevance.

- MSc in Accounting and Financial Management
- MSc in Banking, Investment and Finance
- MSc in Forensic Accounting

- PhD programmes in Accounting, Finance, and related disciplines
The Department is expanding its international research activities and seeks distinguished academics who will contribute to strengthening its research profile, teaching excellence, and engagement with the accounting and finance professions. Job Responsibilities
Accounting Appointees will teach modules such as
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
- Auditing
- Taxation
- Financial Reporting
- and related subject areas.
Finance Appointees will teach modules such as
- Corporate Finance
- Investment Analysis

Successful candidates will also be expected to
- Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral dissertations and theses.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of academic programmes.
- Participate actively in Departmental, School, and University committees.
- Collaborate with professional bodies, industry, and the wider community.
- Contribute to securing research funding and developing international research
collaborations.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess
- A PhD in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline. Candidates who are in the
final stages of completing their PhD may also be considered for appointment at the Lecturer level.
- An active or emerging research profile, evidenced by publications in internationally
recognized peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, working papers, or other scholarly outputs.
- Demonstrated excellence, or strong potential for excellence, in university-level teaching.
- A commitment to interdisciplinary research, academic service, and collaboration with
industry.
- For the Accounting position, possession of a recognized professional accounting
qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) will be considered a significant advantage.
- For the Finance position, professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent will
be considered an additional advantage.
- Experience in supervising postgraduate research, attracting research funding, and
participating in international research collaborations will also be considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in research, teaching, and professional
engagement.

- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (essential).
- Knowledge of the Greek language will be considered an additional qualification.
Salary
Monthly Salary Range: €2,000 – €3,076
Salary will be determined according to academic rank, qualifications, and experience, in
accordance with the University's remuneration policy.
