Main Responsibilities:
- Performs duties assigned by the Executive Chef or Shift Leader in cooking and delivering high quality meals in a timely manner.
- Ensures the quality / freshness of ingredients and follows standard recipes.
- Operates kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Contributes to maintaining costs within budget and minimum waste.
- Ensures that kitchen equipment, utensils and surfaces are sanitized.
- Saves energy with the correct use of machinery.
- Comply with HACCP and food safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 4 – 5 star hotel or a well established restaurant.
- Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques.
- Good knowledge of English Language.
- Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
- Good communication skills and ability to be part of a team to reach common goals.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligible to work in Cyprus.
