- You must undergo and pass as security & police check. If you are found
successful, you will be requested to provide a Clean Criminal Record and a
Sex Offenders Certificate issued by the Republic of Cyprus. For UKFMs that
will be found successful on this advert and who have lived on island for
longer than 18 months, will be requested to provide a Clean Criminal Record

- A good knowledge of office-based IT is needed, including Microsoft Office
packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic filing practices.
- The ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing is an
essential part of this role.

- Be prepared to self-drive an MT vehicle (and prepared to maintain or obtain
FMT600) to attend meetings across WSBA and ESBA or occasionally in the
Republic of Cyprus
Desirable
- ECDL Qualification – other IT competencies. Knowledge of MODNET,
SharePoint.
- Use of Aircore/DAPSS (Training provided).
- Completed Fire, Health & Safety Training (Training provided).
Official Language
The official language of the Sovereign Base Areas is English and consequently English is
the official language of British Forces Cyprus. All documents are to be completed in this
language. All employees of the Sovereign Base Areas Administration and British Forces
Cyprus are expected to have a basic command of the English language as a pre-requisite
for employment.

Job Description.
(To be reviewed at recruitment or annually at beginning of Reporting Year) POST TITLE Booking Clerk Area/Section JMS / JABC Establishment No Grade LAO Grade Priority 1 Full Time/Part Time Part Time No of Established Hours 20 hours per week Required Security Clearance Official Position CYN/UKFM UKFM Current Incumbent Name N/A Employed by BFC or SBAA BFC Brief Description of Role The Joint Booking Centre (JBC) is responsible for all bookings that utilise the Cyprus Air Trooper Service (CATS) and other Operational/Exercise flights. Booking clerks are required to book flights using Aircore/DAPSS bookings systems - Defence check-in software, for service personnel, civil servants, SBA staff and other permitted passengers as designated by line managers. This is an onsite role, work is to be conducted within the JBC office between operating hours designated. Responsible to

Priorities (list in order)
- Prioritise flight applications received from the senior and junior office managers.
- Book duty, indulgence, operational and exercise flights.
- Book onward move flights for overseas or Detachments.
- Complete excel flight tracking table on completion of booking. Responsible for (Tasks/Duties) Percentage (%) of time spent during the working week on each task
Process and book duty/concessionary flight applications from service personnel, civil servants, SBA staff and other permitted passengers as designated by line managers.
Allocate passengers to aircraft within movements dates requested.
Issue duty/concessionary flight confirmations and tickets via email to customers.
Complete auditing databases post flight booking completion.
Broadcast flight details, amendments, and cancellations through AirCore/DAPSS, email and social media.
Monitor relocation of passengers due to aircraft cancellation, delay or last minute addition of higher priority passengers.
Liaise with the passenger terminal staff regarding any late changes to passenger lists. When directed.
