Job Summary:
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, ensuring excellent service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and contributing to a superior guest experience. This role involves managing staff, developing menus, controlling inventory, and implementing company policies in line with health, safety, and GDPR regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of bar operations, including appearance, cleanliness, preparation, and service across all bar areas.

  • Supervise, train, and motivate bar staff to ensure consistency in quality, service, and presentation.

  • Create and revise bar menus, develop new cocktail ideas, and propose budget plans for equipment and staffing.

  • Schedule weekly staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.

  • Maintain smooth and professional working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.

  • Participate in weekly F&B department meetings and contribute to the hotel’s overall smooth operation.

  • Monitor and control the use of materials, including inter-bar and kitchen transfers.

  • Conduct monthly forecasts, inventories, and spot checks in coordination with the F&B Manager.

  • Handle customer complaints professionally and proactively analyze operational errors.

  • Maintain daily records of sales, guest comments, and other relevant information.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and GDPR policies.

  • Follow procedures for reporting accidents and other incidents.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management related to the Bar or F&B department.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Pleasant personality and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

  • Diploma from a Hotel School and/or relevant experience in bar management.

  • Proven leadership and management skills.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and teamwork abilities.

  • Customer-service-oriented mindset with attention to detail.

  • Willingness to undergo additional training when required.
