Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and caring Grade 1 Teaching Assistant to support our class teacher and students in a bilingual learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a proactive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Russian and English. You will help facilitate engaging lessons, provide one-on-one or group support, assist with class routines and administrative tasks, and occasionally lead lessons or substitute the class teacher if needed.

Requirements

• Fluent in Russian and English (spoken and written)
• Previous experience working in a similar role, ideally within a primary school setting
• A basic understanding of the English National Curriculum is a plus
• Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for supporting young learners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organised and flexible

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning, encourage participation, and promote progress
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
• Lead class and substitute class teacher when necessary
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Provide general administrative and organisational support within the classroom
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff in both Russian and English
• Promote the school’s ethos and values at all times
