Summer Camp Teacher (children 3 — 6 years)

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our Kindergarten Summer Camp program. Our camp is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, where children’s curiosity, creativity, and ideas guide the learning process. You will support young learners from non-English speaking families in developing English through play, exploration, and everyday interactions, encouraging them to express themselves confidently. We value child-centered, project-based approaches and multicultural communication. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of the EYFS framework, is open to Reggio-inspired practices, and can combine different teaching methods to support a collaborative learning environment. In this role, you will create a safe, respectful, and engaging atmosphere, observe children’s interests, and facilitate inquiry-based activities that support their development. As part of our team, you will collaborate with colleagues, engage with children, support their ideas and discoveries, and represent our camp values in interactions with families.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pre-Primary or Nursery Education
• KYSATS accreditation/approval (for non-CY diplomas)
• Being a good team player
• Fluent English
• Being a dynamic educator with a willingness to innovate and inspire
• Strong classroom management skills, appropriate for early childhood age students
• An ability to communicate well with all ages of kindergarten students, staff and parents
• A proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual needs
• A wide range of assessment tools and strategies with the ability to share their application to inquiry-based instruction
• Excellent communication skills and patience
• Creative approach to daily tasks
• Experience of working in private kindergartens is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Following all safety procedures and instructions
• Communicate and liaise with colleagues in an effort to promote and establish integrative links and/or awareness
• Setting expectations for discipline and behavior including dealing with inappropriate behavior according to kindergarten policy
• Creating engaging activities to involve students of all abilities, coordinating with colleagues and assistants where needed
• Setting up the educational environment and organizing equipment
• Using a mix of resources to enhance student`s exploration of the topic
• Using different teaching methods, including group work, independent research, demonstrations, experiments and play, to motivate and encourage interaction in the group
