GRS Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a global brand based in Limassol for an experienced Operations Engineer This is a hands-on engineering role at the heart of a high-performance trading environment, focused on maintaining and enhancing proprietary trading technology alongside MT4/MT5 infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical trading systems while driving automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency. Working as part of a global Operations Engineering team, you will collaborate across multiple time zones to support a resilient, low-latency trading ecosystem that delivers institutional-grade execution to clients worldwide.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and optimize proprietary trading technology, including the Trading Engine and analytics platforms.
- Configure, maintain, and support proprietary trading and post-trade analytics platforms.
- Administer MT4/MT5 server infrastructure, including symbols, groups, execution rules, gateways, and liquidity connectivity.
- Build and maintain trading technology solutions for liquidity management and intelligent order execution.
- Monitor platform health, investigate incidents, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure maximum uptime.
- Lead technical onboarding for new clients, delivering seamless and efficient implementations.
- Design and improve failover strategies, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Support software deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and change management activities.
- Drive automation initiatives using scripting and tooling to eliminate manual operational processes and improve reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Infrastructure, Product, and Risk teams to continuously enhance the trading ecosystem.
- This position is part of a global Operations Engineering team providing support across international market hours. As such, the role operates on a rotational shift pattern designed to ensure continuous coverage.
- The earliest shift starts at 5:00am, while the latest shift finishes at 12:30am. Flexibility to work across these rotating shifts is essential for success in the role.
- Solid experience supporting and administering MT4/MT5 trading infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of trading bridges and execution technologies
- Experience with FIX protocol, order routing, and post-trade processing.
- Strong Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience onboarding trading clients and configuring trading environments.
- Understanding of trading infrastructure, execution workflows, and risk management principles.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and networking concepts, including TCP/IP, connectivity troubleshooting, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) to streamline operations.
- Experience with risk analytics or reporting platforms is considered a strong advantage.
