JUNIOR COPYWRITER

Working for: Wavemaker Hospitality, Commercial Team

Reporting to: Commercial Director (interim period of 6 months)

Office Location: Wavemaker Hospitality HQ, Limassol, Cyprus

ROLE OBJECTIVES

The Junior Copywriter will be a key member in Wavemaker Hospitality’s in-house marketing team, creating

unique, brand-specific content across our entire hotel brands portfolio. This role is about more than just

writing, it’s about capturing the voice of each brand and translating it into words — clearly, consistently, and

memorably.

You will work across multiple brands, learning their DNA and personality, and creating compelling copy for

advertising campaigns, digital channels, marketing collaterals, creative concepts, and more. You’ll be

expected to think creatively, research trends and competitors, and contribute fresh ideas that elevate our

storytelling.

FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Prime Responsibilities:

• Immerse yourself in Wavemaker’s hotel brands portfolio, becoming fluent in the tone of voice of

each brand.

• Write engaging, brand-aligned copy for marketing campaigns, digital channels, print advertising,

creative content, and internal communications.

• Ensure clarity and consistency across all written communications.

• Help ensure that every piece of copy meets the brand standards.

• Collaborate with marketing, digital, brand & design and commercial teams to transform information

into creative concepts and executions.

• Perform research on market trends and competitor activities to inform messaging strategy and

spark new ideas.

• Take initiative in bringing creative ideas to the table, from campaign taglines to blog articles.

• Contribute to brainstorming sessions, ideation workshops, and marketing planning meetings.

• Manage your workload and timelines independently with self-organisation and a proactive mindset.

• Be willing to travel, as necessary to ensure that the job responsibilities are carried out effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Creative Writing,

Education, or a related field.

• Professional experience in writing-intensive roles such as copywriting, teaching, publishing,

editorial, or content marketing (1-2 years).

• Strong command of both Greek and English, written and spoken. A third language is considered a

bonus.

• Familiarity with branding and understanding of tone of voice.

Skills/ Capabilities:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Ability to adapt writing style across different tones, formats, and brand identities.

• Organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects at once.

• Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.

• Curious, open-minded, and always seeking to improve or innovate.

• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role.

REMUNERATION

First Employment Date: Immediate

Time Schedule: 5 Days a week (Monday – Friday)

Annual Leave: 20 working days per year

Daily Time Schedule: 09:00-18:00 (1h lunch break)

Gross Annual Salary: Based on qualifications, open to discuss
