IT Technician
The G C School of Careers is seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic IT Technician to join our ICT Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a dynamic educational environment and is passionate about technology, problem-solving and providing high-quality technical support.
Main Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to staff and students across the school.
• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, printers and other ICT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Assist with the management of user accounts, email accounts and access permissions.
• Support the maintenance and monitoring of the school's ICT infrastructure, servers and network systems.
• Assist in maintaining cybersecurity standards and responding to security incidents.
• Prepare and support ICT laboratories for internal and external examinations.
• Support school communication systems and other ICT services.
• Maintain accurate ICT equipment and software inventories.
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of the school's ICT services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer hardware and networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.

Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, network administration or cybersecurity will be considered an advantage.
