Data Engineer/analyst

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Azure Data solutions.
• Have a solid understanding of the business and operational aspects for the supported data solutions.
• Responsible for data analysis, design, installation, configuration, implementation, problem resolution, testing and user support for all supported solutions.
• Build and facilitate department objectives to meet company and project objectives in an efficient manner.
• Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods.
• Initiate, structure and negotiate detail and successful outcomes for clients and companies.
• Build, prioritise, manage and communicate among the department and ensure deadlines  and procedures are followed.
• Ensuring that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the department
• Identifying and implementing technology trends that will be able to support the future success of the business
• Conduct training on new or changed systems for both users and new employees.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as installation, configuration and support members to launch new projects.
• Able to resolve product/software problems utilizing technical support services when necessary via on-site, telephone, both verbally and through remote communication.
• Analyse business operations as they relate to design decisions, and prioritize and implement requested changes to the system.
• Liaise, maintain and nurture client relationships.
• Recommend and execute improvements for existing applications.
• Develop level of effort estimates and ability to track actual time worked accurately.
• Support the business development team with pre-sale activities, contributing to RFPs where appropriate and assisting in presentations to potential clients where required
• Represent the company at key industry events.
