Job description
We are partnering with a well-established company based in Limassol, and are currently seeking a Compliance & Onboarding Specialist to join their team.
We are looking for a detail-focused and experienced Compliance & Onboarding Specialist to join our client’s Legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out KYC and compliance reviews across the Group.
The role requires a solid understanding of regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and partner due diligence. You will play a key role in ensuring that both the Group and its partners operate in line with internal compliance requirements and all applicable legal and regulatory standards.

KYC / Due Diligence
• Carry out thorough KYC reviews for prospective and existing partners, ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained, validated, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Assess risk levels based on KYC information and provide recommendations regarding partner approval or escalation where required.
• Gather, certify, and securely maintain all necessary documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, while coordinating its timely sharing with external partners based on varying priorities and deadlines.
Compliance Monitoring
• Maintain ongoing compliance with applicable local and international regulatory requirements, including AML, CTF, FATCA, OFAC, and other relevant financial regulations.
• Review partner activity for potential warning signs or suspicious behaviour and escalate concerns when appropriate.
Partner Onboarding
• Manage the compliance review process for new partner onboarding, including verification of identity, corporate structure, ownership, and financial position.
• Confirm that all onboarding documentation complies with internal policies and relevant industry regulations.
Regulatory Reporting
• Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, such as KYC risk assessments, accurately and within the required timelines.
• Stay informed of developments and changes in relevant regulatory frameworks and assess their impact on existing compliance processes.
Policy and Procedure Development
• Support the creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of compliance policies and procedures related to underwriting and KYC.
• Ensure that procedures are properly documented and regularly reviewed to remain aligned with regulatory updates and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with business, project, finance, and other internal teams to support consistent compliance practices across the organisation.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders when required for audits or compliance assessments.
Training & Awareness
• Deliver guidance and training to internal teams and partners regarding compliance obligations, KYC processes, and relevant regulatory developments.

FULL TIMELIMASSOLHYBRID• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or another relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in compliance, underwriting, KYC, or a comparable regulatory role, ideally within the fintech sector.
• Solid understanding of AML requirements and other applicable financial regulations.
• Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including gaming regulations, FATCA, OFAC, and other related requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical abilities.
• Capable of handling multiple responsibilities and effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate compliance-related matters to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using compliance and risk management systems and tools.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
