Job description

- Maintenance of proper books of accounts in accordance with the Cyprus legislation;
- Maintenance of proper records and accounts of the fixed assets and administrative expenses under IFRS standards
- Checking the correctness of the invoices received;
- Track and manage the acquisition and disposal of fixed assets;
- Ensure proper depreciation calculations and asset valuations;
- Prepare fixed asset reports and analyses as required
- Maintenance of a cash book, including monthly reconciliation of the bank accounts and analysis of receipts and payments;
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy;
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records
- Regular reconciliations with third parties
- Reflection of all bank movements for clients’ accounts on a daily basis
- Reflection of broker statements and merchant statements on a monthly basis
- Reflection of own portfolio and performance of revaluation workings on a monthly basis
- Monitor and control loan activities of the Company, ensuring accurate reflection in the accounting records
- Preparation of periodic management accounts and reports in accordance with management instructions;
- Participation in the monthly closing;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT regulations and ensure compliance in invoicing and reporting;
- Participation in the preparation of VAT reports;
- Ad-hoc reports;
- Communication with internal and external auditors;
- Search for new ideas and tools, as well as optimization of the processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a Cyprus-based or EU company;
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS;
- Experience with fixed assets accounting, bank reconciliations, expense control, and month-end closing;
- Practical knowledge of VAT requirements and reporting will be considered an advantage;
- Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail and accuracy;
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems is an advantage;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines;
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
