Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team, supporting a multi-entity group structure that includes a fintech company headquartered in the Netherlands and a regulated investment/brokerage entity in Cyprus.

This is a hands-on accounting role covering day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and support for regulatory and statutory requirements across both fintech and regulated environments.
The role operates in a structured, audit-driven setting with a strong focus on accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement of finance processes, including automation and the use of modern tools.

This is a remote role; however, if you prefer working from an office, you are welcome to join us at our office in Paphos.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities across multiple group entities (NL and CY)
  • Maintain general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
  • Support IFRS-based financial reporting processes
  • Assist with regulatory reporting for a CySEC-regulated entity (or equivalent EU regulator)
  • Support external audit processes and provide required documentation
  • Assist with VAT and other statutory filings where applicable
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems and entities
  • Finance Operations & Process Optimization

    • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives across finance operations
    • Support the use of digital tools and AI-based solutions to improve efficiency in accounting and reporting workflows
    • Ensure financial operations processes are efficient, scalable, and accurate

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in accounting within a financial services environment (fintech, investment firm, brokerage, or regulated entity is a strong plus)
  • Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger management
  • Exposure to regulatory or statutory reporting in a controlled environment is a strong plus
  • Experience working in multi-entity or cross-border structures is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a compliance-driven environment
  • Comfortable working with structured processes, audits, and financial controls
  • Interest in improving processes, automation, and modern finance tools
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems / ERP tools

What makes this role interesting

  • Exposure to both a fast-growing fintech group and a regulated investment/brokerage environment
  • Opportunity to work across modern fintech finance and regulated financial reporting frameworks
  • Hands-on involvement in accounting, reporting, and regulatory processes
  • Strong focus on improving and modernizing finance operations through automation and AI
  • Close collaboration with finance, compliance, operations, and external auditors
  • Real opportunity to shape how finance processes scale across a multi-entity group
