What the job looks like?
The Accountant will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in NetSuite for a group of companies on a daily basis
- Process and post vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Execute and record bank transactions, ensuring proper reconciliation with accounting records
- Perform reconciliations of vendor balances, accounts payable, bank accounts, and corporate card accounts
- Process intercompany transactions, including intra-group transfers and bank account movements
- Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines
- Maintain supporting documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties to resolve discrepancies or accounting issues
What will you need to be able to do the job?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems will be considered an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions
