Position: IT Specialist | Audit – IT Controls, AI, Data & Data Analytics

The IT Controls, AI, Data & Data Analytics team is seeking to recruit dynamic and high calibre professionals to join us at the level of Assistant, in our Nicosia or Limassol Offices.

The Team

As a member of the IT Controls, AI, Data & Data Analytics team, you will be involved in challenging projects for clients across different industries, linking business to underpinning IT systems. Our professionals evaluate the design, implementation and effectiveness of an organization’s technology controls relevant to financial reporting. Our team conducts audits in the area of IT General Controls (ITGCs) in relation to access controls, systems change management and network operations as well as application controls to evaluate specific software systems to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency. You will be client focused and use your analytical mindset to identify risks, control them, and improve IT processes and controls.

The Role

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the IT Specialist supporting the Firm’s audit engagements and formal assurance work and opinions as needed.

  • Assist in the risk-based planning and scoping of audit assignments, ensuring alignment with the annual audit plan.

  • Perform walkthroughs with key process owners to understand and document the IT Systems landscape and relevant IT processes.

  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGC’s) and IT Application Controls (ITAC’s)

  • Plan and execute the activities of IT audit engagement for a variety of clients in the areas of Data centre and Network Operations, Access Security and Systems Change Management.

  • Document IT audit results, prepare clear, concise, and insightful reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients

  • Any other duties relevant to the role 

In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to act as an individual contributor, delivering high quality work with guidance from senior team members.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degree from a reputable University in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or related disciplines

  • Previous experienced is not required

  • Good grasp of IT technical concepts, e.g., Operating Systems (Unix, Windows, OS/400, etc), Databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of ERP configurations e.g., SAP, Oracle, Navision.

  • Able to understand business transaction scenarios and how an application system can support them.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve results, whilst maintaining a client focused approach

  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
