Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leading Telecommunications company based in Nicosia, GRS Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be directly involved in validating complex hardware systems and troubleshooting real-world failures. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute hardware and system-level test plans for telecom systems (GSM / UMTS / LTE)
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis across components and full systems
• Validate systems during production and pre-deployment phases
• Develop scripts/tools (e.g., Python) to support test automation and efficiency
• Analyze field issues and support on-site deployments when required
• Collaborate closely with hardware, RF, and software engineers to resolve issues

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar
• Hands-on experience or strong academic background with relevant projects/internships in hardware testing or troubleshooting
• Understanding of telecommunications systems (GSM, UMTS, LTE) or related wireless/networking technologies
• Ability to debug hardware/system failures and identify root causes
• Ability to read and understand schematics and system-level diagrams
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Basic scripting skills (Python) or willingness to develop automation capabilities
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis when required
• Availability for occasional off-hours support in critical situations
• Ability to perform in high-pressure environments
