About the Role
As a Contract Manager within the Legal team, you will play a central role in managing the full lifecycle of commercial and operational agreements across the business. Working closely with Legal, Compliance, Product and Operations teams you will ensure that contracts are negotiated, drafted, reviewed, and maintained in a consistent, efficient, and legally compliant manner. You will establish and optimize scalable contract management processes, maintain contractual documentation and obligations, and serve as a trusted point of contact for internal teams and external counterparties. Your work will help reduce legal and operational risk while enabling the business to move quickly and confidently in the digital asset environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong contract management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive mindset who enjoys improving operations and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service level agreements, licensing agreements ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements.
- Managing the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to execution, renewal or termination.
- Maintaining a centralised contract repository and ensuring all contracts are properly stored, categorised and accessible.
- Tracking key contract dates, such as renewals, expirations and notice periods, and proactively managing these events.
- In collaboration with the Product/IT Departments, conducting due diligence on potential vendors, assessing their capabilities, financial stability and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitoring vendor performance against contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Managing vendor onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Working closely with the legal team to ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, data protection, DORA) and internal policies, particularly those specific to crypto assets.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of contract templates, playbooks and policies.
- Identifying and mitigating contractual risks, including regulatory, operational and financial risks.
- Ensuring contractual terms adequately protect the Group’s interests and intellectual property.
- Partnering with the product team to understand their vendor and contractual needs for new product development, integrations and features.
- Advising the product team on contractual implications of product decisions and third-party dependencies.
- Assisting in internal and external audits related to vendor contracts and relationships.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to improve contract management processes, tools and systems.
- Developing and delivering training to internal teams on contract management best practices and policies.
Your knowledge areas and experience:
- 2 - 4+ years of experience in legal services, corporate law and/or contract management, commercial legal operations, or a similar legal support function.
- Experience managing the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, and maintaining commercial agreements.
- Prior experience in FinTech, financial services, RegTech, digital assets, or other regulated environment is preferred.
- Good understanding of commercial contracts utilised in Fintech/RegTech.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify contractual risks while maintaining a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and legal operations processes is an advantage.
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement mentality.
- Fluent in English, Greek considered a plus.
