Backend Developer (Python and Go)

A growing software development company with offices in Israel and Cyprus is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Backend Developer (Python & Go) to join their Limassol based in Cyprus. The successful candidate will work alongside a talented engineering team building scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications for clients across Financial Services, Banking, Online Platforms, and other innovative industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with modern technologies, and contributing to the design and development of high-quality software within a collaborative environment.   MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Go.
• Build scalable APIs and microservices following RESTful architecture principles.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices and SOLID principles.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and ongoing application maintenance.
• Work with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
• Integrate with databases, caching solutions, and messaging technologies such as Redis and Kafka.
• Contribute to system design discussions and evaluate new technologies and frameworks where appropriate.
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• University degree in Computer Science or another relevant discipline.
• 3-5 years of backend development experience.
• Commercial experience with Python; exposure to Go is highly desirable or a willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• €40,000 - €60,000 Gross Per Annum
• Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
• Working Hours are Monday-Friday: 10:00-18:00
