Start your career in the technical field and join our team as a Technical Inspector. This key position is central to keeping our fleet fit and reliable. As a Technical Inspector, you will be responsible for everything from creating repair reports and ensuring smooth communication between the office and ships during repairs to follow-up checks to keep our maintenance database up to date.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the winter repair process
  • Assess, document, and prioritize repair requirements
  • Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier quotations
  • Plan and monitor maintenance and repair budgets
  • Conduct supplier debriefings and maintain supplier relationships
  • Review and approve invoices to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Perform regular vessel inspections and site visits
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of onboard mechanics
  • Develop and implement targeted training and development initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations
  • Manage maintenance-related administrative processes
  • Perform administrative duties remotely when agreed upon

Your profile:

  • Completed training in a technical and/or commercial field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a comparable position
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support onboard teams
  • Very good command of German and/or English, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, onboard teams, and international colleagues
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service quality and satisfaction
  • Ability to align maintenance activities and operational requirements with customer expectations
  • Commitment to maintaining high technical and operational standards
  • Willingness to work closely with multiple departments and locations in an international environment
