The main responsibilities of the position include:
Act as primary DBA for enterprise databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB) across on-premises and cloud setupsArchitect and guide configurations for High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and zero-downtime data migrationsResearch and implement next-gen database technologies, deployment tools, and automation to drive efficiencyPartner with InfoSec to maintain top-tier database security, access controls, and compliance auditing Mentor and develop team members through continuous feedback, targeted goal-setting, and personalized growth plansFoster an open, highly motivated team culture built on active knowledge-sharing and creative problem-solvingCoordinate daily task distribution to ensure an optimized, well-balanced workload across the DBA teamPartner with the DBA Team Leader to set, track, and execute departmental KPIs aligned with corporate goalsCollaborate with internal departments to support business-critical projects and infrastructure needsMain requirements:
BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other relevant field Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the financial services industry High-level expertise in at least one major engine (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Redshift) and a deep understanding of fault-tolerant, high-availability database architecturesProficient in database tuning, SQL query optimization, and writing Shell scripts to automate operational workflowsStrong technical knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, paired with hands-on experience in cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud)Advanced problem-solving skills with the foresight to identify areas needing security enhancements, system updates, and scheduled maintenanceProven leadership capability to coach, mentor, and develop team members while keeping the team motivated and focused on goalsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAble to translate complex technical concepts clearly for both colleagues and managementNative or fluent English skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts clearly for both colleagues and managementHigh level of accountability, strong attention to detail, and a self-driven commitment to continuous upskilling and learningHighly organized and adaptable in fast-paced environments, with strong cross-functional coordination skills to build effective internal relationshipsBenefit from:
