Description

It’s time for boarding! Join our team and play an active role in shaping the future of River Advice—so we can set new standards together in European inland waterway shipping.

You will support procurement and order processing, from requesting quotes to on-time delivery. With your structured approach to work, meticulous data management, and collaboration with internal and external partners, you will ensure that processes run smoothly.

Your responsibilities:

  • Requesting, comparing, and evaluating quotes for replacement parts and technical components
  • Coordination and processing of orders, deliveries, and returns
  • Ensuring smooth order processing and on-time delivery
  • Handling complaints and resolving customer and supplier issues in a solution-oriented manner
  • Maintenance and Management of Order, Delivery, and Purchase Order Data
  • Conducting precise monitoring and documentation of all relevant processes
  • Ensuring transparent tracking of orders, delivery status, and returns
  • Close collaboration with internal departments as well as external partners and suppliers

Your Profile:

  • Completed training in a technical and/or business field
  • Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing or in the technical department of a shipping company is a plus
  • Negotiation skills and a confident and persuasive demeanor when dealing with suppliers and partners
  • Strong organizational skills, assertiveness, and a solution-oriented approach to work
  • An independent, structured, and conscientious approach to work with a strong commitment to quality
  • Enjoyment of working in international teams and cross-cultural work environments
  • Good communication skills and a positive, cheerful personality
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications to efficiently support daily work processes
