Pool Attendant

Job Summary:
The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting pool environment while attending to guest needs in accordance with hotel standards and health & safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness, order, and hygiene of the pool area, including pool decks, beds, umbrellas, tables, and surrounding areas.

• Set up and store pool furniture, ensuring all equipment is tidy and functional.

• Monitor guest use of the pool, ensuring only hotel guests are present and enforcing pool rules.

• Respond promptly to accidents or incidents, following hotel procedures and immediately reporting emergencies to the Health & Safety Officer.

• Manage guest property at the pool area to ensure security and prevent loss.

• Perform daily inspections and complete required documentation regarding pool conditions and maintenance.

• Ensure no glassware or unsafe items are used in the pool area to prevent injuries.

• Follow specialized cleaning and disinfection procedures in the event of contamination (vomit, blood, or stool).

• Provide courteous, attentive, and professional service to all guests, anticipating their needs and requests.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Pool Supervisor, Head of Department, and other hotel staff.

• Implement GDPR requirements for the protection of guest and staff information.

• Adhere strictly to hotel Health & Safety Rules & Regulations.

• Perform any other tasks assigned by management related to pool and F&B operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Pleasant and approachable personality.

• Familiarity with swimming and pool environments.

• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

• Valid First Aid Certificate.

• Attention to detail, cleanliness, and guest service excellence.

• Ability to follow procedures and react calmly in emergencies.
