Database Officer – Mid Level

On behalf of our client, a Payments Solutions Provider, GRS Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Database Officer - Mid Level to join our team in Larnaca. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in database management and a strong command of SQL, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle SQL. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a positive attitude toward supporting team objectives. • Manage, maintain, and optimize company databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security
• Write, review, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures
• Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with company policies
• Support internal teams with data requests, reporting, and analysis
• Assist in database design, implementation, and upgrades
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve systems and workflows
• Maintain documentation related to database systems and processes

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in database management
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle SQL
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to support colleagues
• Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
• Familiarity with database security best practices
• Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• €30,000 – €50,000 Gross Per Annum
• Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
