Position: Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking to recruit a professional and motivated individual for the position of Bookkeeper based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Track and record all incoming and outgoing financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
• Keep the general ledger up-to-date by recording transactions in various accounts (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and expenses)
• Monitor and process payments to vendors and suppliers
• Ensure invoices are sent out on time and payments are received
• Reconcile bank statements with the company’s records to ensure accuracy
• Maintain a record of petty cash used for small expenses
• Assist with VAT-related matters and statutory reporting requirements
• Support the preparation of tax and regulatory submissions, including VIES where applicable

Additional Expectations:

• Operate effectively within a multi-company Group structure, understanding intercompany transactions and reporting requirements
• Work efficiently under pressure, particularly during month-end and year-end closings, to meet strict Group reporting deadlines
• Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail in managing financial data across entities
• Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or LCCI Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fluent in Greek and English
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Cycom) will be considered an advantage
• Computer Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
