Analytics Engineer

Job Overview

The Analytics Engineer will design, build, and optimize the data models, transformations, and reporting layer that power the Group’s analytics ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and BI development, ensuring that high‑quality, well‑modelled data flows seamlessly from the Group’s Data Warehouse into business‑ready dashboards, reports, and analytical products.

The Analytics Engineer will play a key role in initiating and implementing the reporting component of the Group’s Data Warehouse, shaping both the technical foundation and the analytical outputs used across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining scalable semantic models (star schemas, dimensional models, marts) to support reporting and analytics.
• Building and optimizing data pipelines, transformations, and workflows using SQL‑based or modern ELT tools.
• Creating dashboards, reports, and KPIs using the organization’s BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
• Implementing validation, testing, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical datasets.
• Working closely with business Teams to translate requirements into data models and reporting solutions.
• Tuning SQL queries, pipelines, and BI models for speed and efficiency.
• Maintaining clear documentation of data models, transformations, and reporting logic.
• Supporting standards for naming conventions, lineage, and metadata.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong SQL expertise and experience with large‑scale Data Warehouses.
• Hands‑on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.).
• Experience with ETL/ ELT tools or frameworks (dbt, SSIS, ADF, Airflow, etc.).
• Solid understanding of dimensional modelling and analytics‑oriented data design.
• Ability to work independently on complex data problems and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical outputs.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery), will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD for analytics, will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Python for data processing, will be considered an advantage.
