About the role
You will be the owner of courier operations end-to-end — from process design to team development, execution, and performance management. You’ll start by managing a highly technical Courier Operations Specialist and gradually expand the team by identifying skill gaps and hiring accordingly. We’re seeking someone who can seamlessly switch between deep analytical problem-solving and on-the-ground leadership. You must be comfortable speaking with couriers, analysing their performance data, and building robust supply models to improve efficiency and earnings.Expected travel to key operational zones in Cyprus will be required — you should be excited to spend time with couriers in the field, not just behind a laptop.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Launch, manage, and scale courier operations across the local market in Cyprus.
- Create, improve, and optimise courier operations processes.
- Monitor and enhance key delivery metrics to improve efficiency and ensure an excellent experience for users, couriers, and partners (restaurants & groceries).
- Identify operational blockers such as supply forecasting and solve them by leading from the front — be ready to roll up your sleeves and work hands-on.
- Develop operational and financial models focused on optimising each component of the delivery process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance courier operation-related goals.
About you
- You have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- You have 3+ years of relevant experience in operations, commercial, last-mile delivery, logistics, consultancy, or analytics.
- You are an analytical thinker who loves solving complex problems (advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills required; Looker/PowerBI/Tableau are a plus).
- You are an owner who proactively seeks to improve processes and handle business challenges.
- You have strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and overall communication skills.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Greek is a plus.
